INCITING INCIDENT: My character starts off in the human world. She doesn't fit in. When she is 12 she got hit by a car and started having really weird headaches, then Fitz came and told her she was an elf and that she has telekinesis. This happened in book one. In my book the changing moment is when the Black Swan asks Sophie and her friends to leave their families and join them. They go and it changed their lives.

THE STORY ARCHETYPES: My book is the Quest because Sophie wants to find out answers to who she is, and to uncover the truth about the Lost Cities. Sophie's main goal is to discover her true identity and to understand why she was created. She is also accompanied by her friends, which is in the definition of the Quest. There are many obstacles and dangers while searching for the truth and protecting their world.

VISUALIZE: When I read my book I create an image in my head. An example of Visualizing is on page 443 " After they had gotten in their beds and changed they went to hang up their uniforms for the night." In my head I was visualizing three people (2 boys and one girl),people changing into their pajamas and going to bed and hanging up their uniforms. This is what I visualize but other people may see it differently.

TEXT TO SELF; The plot of the book is about a girl that had no friends in the human world. She didn't belong there, kind of like me. I had trouble making friends in 6th grade just like Sophie did. She went to a place where she was loved and everyone was kind and nice to her. She went to another world and she changed herself. It was called the Lost cities. I found a better "World" too. I have better friends now.

CHARACTERIZATION: Sophie is the main character and she is nervous all the time. She is nervous because of her friends because she doesn't think that they like her. Throughout the book she gets better with them and starts to open up. She tugs out loose eyeglasses whenever she is nervous. She also bites her fingernails. She thinks to herself that no one likes her and she says she wants to crawl into a ball and cry.

ANTAGONIST: In my book there is a group called Never seen that is the Antagonist. They are working against the Black Swan, which Sophie is a part of. Never seen wants to work on Sophie because of her enhanced telepathy powers. The Black Swan is currently hiding Sophie from Never seen in the human world called the forbidden cities. The only person we know from Never seen is Keefe's mom. Keefe did not know this.
