Rather than being a newspaper byline and true crime mystery the Black Dahlia describes her afterlife from her own perspective and in doing so depicts how much as been forgotten about her, how much she has been dehumanized and how she is memorialized as a corpse. really eye opening way to show our cultural obsession w murder

Really enjoying every single story love that the narration of them is done in either first or second person pov. You are placed inside the private innermost thoughts of the character or positioned as the character yourself.

The second story was very familiar but at fist I couldn’t remember where it was from. I was reminded by this app that I listened to an audiobook recording of it a few years previously
