DIF. I was REALLY enjoying this book, until 300 pages in, a very graphic, and in my opinion, completely unnecessary rape scene nearly drove me to angry tears. There’s about a ~100 page build up wherein a character fantasizes often about raping an underaged child, which I believed served a (repetitive) purpose to paint him as evil but had hoped would never come to fruition. This male author’s decision disgusts me.
