WHY ARE THERE TWO CATHYS. WHAT??? Not noticing there was a genealogy chart at the beginning of my edition of the book REALLY messed me up lol. But then again I guess Ms. Bronte just wanted to give us the full Lockwood experience.

The first and only time I'd consumed this story was through The Favorites, a modern retelling of Wuthering Heights. The whole time I read that book, I ate it up, but I also did NOT like Kat and Heath. I thought them both incredibly toxic, selfish, mean, and immature.
Turns out their source material are really just Like That lol. But I am still so fascinated by them.

I was listening to the audiobook and had to go back and reread the beginning. I was so confused by so many characters and their names. I was also reading it thinking a woman was narrating the whole thing. Although I think it’s coming together, reading a genealogy chart would definitely be helpful. :)

Yes, once Nelly Dean began her narrative, I was like, "Oh, okay, this is what I was expecting!" Also tried the audiobook, but I had to get the physical copy so I could annotate and actively read as I went just to make sure I understood what was going on. 😅
