How has he not died of shock yet? He really blew some shit up in the whale. Imagine the poor whale, the guy doesn’t even know wtf is happening inside him but I’m sure it feels it all. How strange.

How tf has he not bled out? It seems like every damn bone in his body is gone? Like where is the will to survive, is it spite from his father? Or is it from this weird therapeutic fake conversation he’s having with his subconscious with his dad? Is he really going to make the whale explode?

How tf does he know so well that it’s a battle between Orcas and the matriarch of Sperm whales? Is that to show the reader how well Mitt taught Jay? Kind of annoying considering how weak and discombobulated he is.

M’fkn Orcas!!!! Truly natures best predator. I wonder if the whale will survive…and Jay. I feel like for the sake of the book that mfkr has to live. I feel like no one will believe his story, or maybe they will since he’s so fucked up body-wise

Jays mind was clouded by his “hate” for his dad. More like his resentment towards him until he’s on deaths door. Now he’s remembering all the good times he had with his Dad and how the knowledge his dad gave him is actually saving him. Wonder how he’s doing to get out. The whale is going to have to stop diving right before he dies from the pressure. Plot armor!!

I didn’t think Jay would get that fucked up inside the whale. I mean this is a fiction that’s meant to be more realistic tho lol. I imagine him having red blistering on any exposed skin, that giant gnash in his hand from beaky. Feathered looking skin on his neck, and now his ear drums are bursting because the whale is diving? If he lives he’ll barely be alive.

So Jay is in straight survival mode. So much so that his brain is having him hear his father’s voice to aid in his survival. He’s pretty messed up in the tummy so far, and am has suffered some crazy wounds. Let’s see what he does next!!!

Honestly I don’t blame Jay. His dad was a broken man and a failure. He projected all those feelings into Jay and I think he tried to make him better than himself but saw that wasn’t working then he wanted Jay to be as broken as him? Or maybe to understand his love for the ocean and how broken everyone else was. To make himself not seem so much of a failure? Make society the bad guy not him.

Been forgetting to update here but it’s a bit of a tough read bc there are a lot of technical diving terms and scientific animal names I don’t know so it makes it hard to read. He’s finally caught in the whales mouth tho!!

Ok so ppl are pissed at Jay for something he did or did not do for his dad. Jay thinks fuck them and wants to prove to himself and others that he can dive this dangerous beach on his own without his “legendary dad.” His dad died of cancer like a hero taken too soon but obviously his dad was a SHIT dad and they fought about something but we don’t know what yet
