"He grew accustomed to the uneasy octopus that lived inside him and squirted its inky tranquilizer on his past." Wow! What a novel! I'm so glad to have read Dmitri's review and that I finally started this book. This one was a required book from Joe's undergrad years--the university sticker from 2001 is still in place.
