ooooh new character arc!

The parallels/overlap this book has with tech laws like COSA is so well done and nuanced. Lalami understands the creep of these laws and the impact that online identification and age restriction laws will inevitably have. The descriptions of the different companies, apps and surveillance methods which rule their lives are too familiar to what’s being presented to us now.

Loving this so far. Good pacing/structure and set up. I’m also enjoying the “documents” sprinkled in like the news article about the “pre-crime” laws. Nuanced, real-life privacy concerns all wrapped into a good narrative.
