this is sooooooo good oh my god im actually devouring it and savoring every sentence. pagels probes how the institutional setup of orthodox christianity is based on the bodily resurrection; because peter was the first to see, he became the first leader of the church. genuinely so interesting all i want to do is walk around and think about this book.
