im still having fun
contrived circumstances are justifiable if they’re fun, and that was fun
there’s some sort of twist coming, but I can’t tell exactly what it is
An investigator duo where one gets over stimulated easily and one can’t read, what the hell, sure

surprisingly, the actual murder mystery might be the weakest part so far? still really enjoying it though
also Ana is a bit closer to BBC Sherlock than OG Sherlock so far in terms of deduction, aka hand waived reasoning, but oh well

biggest plus so far is the dialogue, there’s a rhythm and a dance and an effortless rapport in every conversation
Din being illiterate and and Ana being blind most of the time is really funny
I’m guessing it’s a series about bureaucracy, but a little disappointed we’re already at “grand conspiracy”

I am in love with Ana
big fan of the world building so far, pushing a lot of murder mystery stuff in novel directions with a fantasy backdrop (+ the fantasy version of genetic engineering is interesting)
the mystery hasn’t picked up yet, but the quality so far makes me optimistic that it’s intentional
