I'll make sure to leave a few words. It's interesting how addiction is only indirectly brought into the story, for the most part, or leaves the lion's share of the narrative to collateral damage anyway.

That made me smile. I'm actually enjoying the woman's reflections and the intimacy captured, she's less of a goose than she thinks, her doubts are beautifully rendered, her joys as well, and the general tone is lighter than one would expect. I mean, for the most part. I can see how expectations may differ though. :)
