I’m enjoying this one so far. It’s easy to get invested in the family and weird goings on through the main characters eyes/voice. The landscape and isolation of the property seems to have set the perfect stage for the strange and unexplainable.

I’m devastated. I knew things were definitely too good to be true, but I didn’t know things would go that way. I didn’t know they would be transported back, let alone one less. And NOT a character I ever would have expected. I have less than 100 pages to go, and it’s hard to imagine that the tension keeps ratcheting up, but here we are.

So creepy!! Only like halfway through, and this poor family has already been through so much strangeness. And the way the little girl is reacting to all of it is very much giving Poltergeist vibes.
