Haha, that already says enough, Valerie 😄 Sounds like a genuinely unsettling book. I used to tempt fate by reading things like this at midnight, by candlelight, in the attic… which, in hindsight, was a terrible idea. Daylight reading sounds very wise, enjoy the chills! 👀📖

Thanks Walter! Yes, "unsettling" describes this one perfectly. It's void of the gore, overt violence, and OTT action found in the majority of contemporary Horror novels. These vintage horror novels better lend themselves to a candle-lit midnight read in the attic, love that 🧚♀️🙋🏼👍.
