This is good but I have issues with the men in this book. It’s like she wrote them all to be stupid in order to show how great the heroine is or how superior women are. I agree we are superior 😜 but it’s not fun when the hero and her family are morons.

Imagine being so obtusely rich that you get angry at a women who is essentially an impoverished servant for not risking her job for you! I liked this hero but now he’s just an asshole. He better grovel.

So she has six brothers and a father and has to work to support them all when their farm fails? Can none of those able bodied men get a job in a time when women barely had any options and men had many?

Switched to the audiobook so I will like this more.

I picture Louisa from Encanto as the female lead in this. She’s written as very tall and muscular, but not sure who that dainty miss is on the cover.

Getting really strong ‘not like other girls’ with this one. 🤮
