Ch25-27: The kids discuss who would believe their stories (it seems salesman could be any one of the carnival crew). Will gets upset bc he knows Jim will leave him. Miss Foley reports burglary and the kids report themselves in. Mr. Halloway takes them home. Dad wishes he was like the kids and reminisces. Dad notices Will says "3am" bc that's when he had nightmares. Will promised to share all after so Dad doesn't die

Ch24: Kids bring police to old man (who is Mr.Cooger, the salesman). They find him tied to an electric chair, with Mr.Dark and the carnival crew. They activate the chair and the dead man becomes alive, and all the crew breathe in unison with the dead man (Mr. Electro). Kids take free passes before they leave but Electro calls the kids "Mr.Sickly and Mr.Pale, a short sad life for you both". The kids leave with cops

Ch21-22: Jim is waiting at the door for Mr.Cooger to come out so he can face him. Will stops him, but it's Miss Foleys nephew, Robert. The mischievous kid saw them and went inside and stole her jewelry and gave it to Jim, as if he stole her jewelry. The kids ran to the merry-go-round and it starts. He is riding it but it takes years off his life. Jim and Will fight to turn it off, ultimately Robert is 100+ years old.

Ch20-21: Jim and Will are both grounded. Will's dad is depressed and leaves the house rather than talking to his son. Jim tries to leave alone but Will wants to go with him, together they run back to Miss Foley's house.

Ch19:
Mr. Cooger transformed into the boy last chapter and went to Miss Molley's. The kids follow him there and find out he transformed into her nephew she lost. The kids talk to the nephew and her face-to-face and tell her that the barber is dead. Then they get invited back to the carnival tomorrow from the nephew.

Ch18:
They find Mr.Dark and Mr.Cooger who run the carnival. Dark has non-human features and gives Jim a free ride for later to use. After leaving, the kids hide in a tree, and see Dark turns on the carnival ride backwards. This turns Cooger into a 12yo kid and melts away Dark and Cooger. Instead of leaving, Jim wants to stay to see what else happens while Will wants to go home.

Ch15-17: The boys find a teacher in the carnival, she decides to go in the mirror maze, where she gets swallowed into and is saved by Will and Jim pulling her out. She said she saw her younger-self. The boys find the salesman bag and rather than going home to eat, they go back to the carnival.

Ch 12-14: The kids follow the train and see ghosts there. They see one man raise up people and they all work to setup the carnival, but the people hear a noise and all disappear. Wills dad is at the library again and cannot shake something is wrong. He goes home and passes the ice block which is now melted away. When he gets home, he feels lost and struggling to escape these demons he has within him.

Ch 8-11: Will listens to his dad be sad about being old and out of touch with his son in bed. Then the dad leaves the house. Jim scolds his mom about death being inevitable and not being happy. The salesman finds the woman in ice and enters the shop where the doors close behind him. Jim and Will wake up to hearing the carnival train coming into town playing Christian music, and they head into town.

Ch 2-7: The kids find Will's dad at the library, jealous of their innocence. The kids leave the library and go on a whim. The dad goes to the bar and finds a weird man who puts a carnival poster up, he also finds horses holding 6ft ice block. The kids run into townsmen who act strange around them, then they go to the Theater. Jim wants to stay but Will is freaked out. They find a carnival poster and then head home.
