Okay, so I am a very sappy person, but this book already had me fighting to hold back tears. Having one chapter be a flashback and explaining relationships between the characters and the very next chapter going back into real time and explaining some of the aftermath of the explosion - oof - that tugged at my heartstrings for sure! 😩
