Say what you want about the genre, but Emily Henry can write a helluva love scene.

"And now I'm crying because reading this story makes me feel for the first time that I'm not in my body. Like there's some bubble that stretches around me and Alex and makes it so we're just two different coloured globs in a lava lamp, mixing freely, dancing around each other, unhindered. "

"Too many wine" needs to find its way into my vocabulary.

"I don't want to go to Australia only to spend all day in a classroom (...) For me, traveling is about wandering, meeting people you don't expect, doing things you've never done."

I love Emily Henry and have devoured many of her books in the past, but I somehow overlooked "People We Meet on Vacation" and now I'm in a race against time to finish it before the Netflix movie comes out and the inevitable spoilers will stream in and ruin the book for me.
