I forgot this was a Sarina Bowen novel. The summary & reviews gave me the idea that this was a cute feel good romance between a baker & an outdoorsy guy (lumberjack? Farmer?). So when we hit Kieran’s first flashback of Roderick I was SHOCKED. I’ve read spice in the past, but wow that packs a punch. I think i threw my phone across the room when I stumbled on the scene with the anxiety
