This was really good. The dad really is a pierce of shit and mentally ill. There’s no surprising revelation. It managed to escape feeling episodic and while the I’m sick thing is really royal tenenbaums and doesn’t go anywhere it doesn’t diminish too much the rest of the book. Reubens grief was the worst I think, he was the eldest.

Mad is minding her business on the farm when a half brother she doesn’t know about shows up and he wants to go look for all of their surprise half siblings because their dad is a piece of shit who randomly leaves and acquires new families. I love Kevin Wilson’s writing.
