neil comes back from the first dinner with twinyards/nicky/kevin/wymack/abby and immediately goes for a run. literally says to run past all of his thoughts. his first 'family' experience and he tries to mentally escape. this boy who's been on the run his whole life. who's died again and again and denied belonging his entire adolescence. who now just stuffed his gifted set of keys into his pockets so he can return.

neil has such a hardon for exy it makes him look stupid. wdym 'the risks didn't matter' brother your dad is gonna track you down and KILL you 😭

'(neil) tapped two fingers to his temple, copying andrew's mocking salute from their first meeting. andriels first meeting … andrew slamming his racket into neil as neil is trying to escape … physically stopping neil from running from his past … his whole Purpose being showcased in that first introduction … sensational

i love how, at the beginning, it’s almost set up to wear neil and kevin are going to be a thing with how much neil is fixated on him and alluding to their history. but no for the rest of this series these two just bitch at each other sksjwjdjwjdj
