Fairly flat and...beige, so far. I'm just a quarter of the way in, so while the writing is objectively good, I haven't quite gotten to anything "meaty" alluding to the soul of the novel: it's point or purpose.

I'm mildly concerned that this has become popular due to a self-serious group of literary "bros" getting off on its stoicism. That said, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt.
