The horror has started! The buildup to it was about 100 pages long, but it was necessary I think. Plus the writing’s very good and I’m going through these lengthy wikipedia journeys. I read a lot on Pablo Escobar among other things. There is another POV besides Gabe, but why that person?! Like Boys in the Valley, the narration switches between 1st and 3rd person. Is that a horror book technique or something?

….since the author writes horror. Doesn’t seem like it though. But then again I’m only 13 pages in. The writing is excellent and I’m wondering if this was translated from Spanish. I think this is gonna be good but I hope there will be other POVs other than Gabe.

Just finished the first chapter and I went in blind. I thought this was gonna be a horror story since
