The alternating POV Is keeping me engaged and in enjoying learning about both characters.

Mateo - introverted and regrets not socialising more with his peers when he had the chance. Anxious to leave his apartment on his End day as he fears it will lead to him dying quicker. Dad in ICU, mother dead during childbirth.

Rufus - outwardly tough. Mother and sister died when their car plunged into the Hudson. He has survivors guilt.
