He heard Pelles behind him who knelt because all the anger left him. Madness seized Balyn as he looked at a the spear that pierced the side of Jesus. It is called the Dolorous Stroke. As he seized the spear, the voice admonished him again. He struck Pelles and wounded him, deeply on the side. A great wind seized Balyn and whirled him around and fell on the ground bleeding and senseless.

He heard King Pelles’s footsteps so he pushed open the door. A Voice (capital V) told him he was not worthy. The neglected room had no dust. He saw a silver table with a white cloth. On it was a great cup filled with light and he could hardly see (it’s like Happiness in The Christmas Pig. OH WOW! Balyn found the Holy Grail and he wasn’t looking for it! All he wanted to do was kneel and worship God.

King Pelles was outraged that his knight was killed. He snatched a sword off the wall and hit the dagger so hard that it shattered. Balyn took off running full speed and Pelles followed. He ran from room to room, not knowing where was goingHe went up winding steps in a tower and seemed to be heading to a part of the castle that had not been touched in a long time. He came to a door and knew he shoudl not enter

Nobody was allowed to bring swords but unbeknownst to the guards Balyn wore a dagger under his robes. He asked about Garlon; the king pointed him out. Big mistake. Garlon saw Balyn stare at him, told him off, and insulted him. Balyn added that was why he was doing this and he flew at the evil knigth and killed him. The crowd was shocked. King Pelles told him he shall die and Balyn said to come and get him.

The damsel gave blood poured in a silver dish. It did not help and the only who cured her turned out to be Percivale’s sister when he was on the quest of the Holy Grail. Since they both had the same enemy, Merliot explained how to find him. There would a banquet and everyone had to bring a damsel to be admitted. It was a fifteen day journey. Sure enough, Merliot could not enter, but Balyn could.

Balyn climbed up stairs and jumped 20 feet out from the wall. Then he attacked men on the other side. They came to a stand-off and explained that the lady of the castle has a disease that can only be cured with the blood of a pure damsel. They asked every lady to help and Balyn said that it is up to her. The other issue is the prince has been wounded by the invisible knight and he might not make it.

As he was dying, the knight asked Balyn to follow his damsel so that he can finish his quest. Balyn does and they go through the woods and overtake a knight. Then the invisible knight killed him. They finally reached the castle and the guards quickly make it happen that the damsel passes under the porticullis which slams behind her, separating her from Balyn who is afraid for her life.

Balyn asks for a quest for he knows he is doomed and he would like to do good before he dies. Right before he passed, a sorrowing knight passed Arthur and said he could not stop or he would be slain by some invisible hand. Arthur asked Balyn to see what he could do to help. Sure enough the sorrowing knight was slain before his very eyes by an invisible hand. A knight named Garlon practices Black magic to kill others.

Up comes Sir Pellinore out of the blue in his quest for the Questing Beast and he fought and killed Lot. Then Merlin tell Arthur that he would not have won without these three. He said that Pellinore would continue on his quest and that the brothers would eventually meet their death on the same day. Arthur acknowledges his debt to them and he leaves to fight the Saxons. Balan and Balyn meet Arthur.

King Lot, married to Arthur’s half-sister, took Ryon’s spot and joined the 11 kings to make 12 again (just like the chosing of St. Matthias). They battled him and his men all day long and it looked like Arthur would lose. Then all of a sudden two knights came from behind King Lot’s army and fought so fiercely that they thought it was another army. By the evening, only King Lot remained, fighting strong.
