Abysmal. Trite. Predicable. Cartoon like characters. How is Millie such a good cook if she was in prison for 10 years starting from when she was 17. Who gets fired from a bar job that warrants police reporting but is such an upstanding moral housekeeper? This book is full of inconsistent behavior and complete nonsense. I’m only slogging through this to understand how Frieda McFadden is the number one author.
