Courtney at work, who is dipping into this series the same time as me (and is a little ahead) seems to like the books in the order they were published - her fave is Puppet Show, then this one, then Curator. I loved The Curator more than The Puppet Show, for various reasons, and of course I'm not decided on this one. But Black Summer has a unique premise, and the details have gotten wilder.

So, even though I got Courtney from work hooked on this series when I talked about my upcoming Christmas read, The Curator (3rd in series), here we are weeks later, and she’s read the first three books (in order), while I’m catching up/backtracking. It is fun to have someone to talk to, as one gets through a whodunit. Courtney is taking a bit of a Fantasy break, so I might get to Book 4 ahead of her.
