Eddie Chase has just rescued Nina from the submarine about to sink. They had killed Michael from getting in the way of creating a weapon of mass destruction. They have arrived back to the U.S and create plans for their wedding, they finally have a date. Nina Wilde demonstrated great courageousness through this book. She deliberately turns herself to Michael not knowing if she would come out alive.

Vaskovich has just captured Nina Wilde for ransom to retrieve excalibur. Eddie Chase and Jack Michael have just got to Vaskovich to "give excalibur" back. They have a very insane plane to retrieve it. A conflict that has constantly stated throughout the book is Eddie's battle between himself and his own concience. He is constantly acting really manly instead of showing his true feelings to his fiancè.

Nina, Chase, and Michael are now crashing the party of Kruglov to reretrieve Excalibur. Chase has just got into the building onto the second floor, will he make it out alive? This book's genre is science-fiction, this is because they are trying to find fictional objects, but with a scientific turn. Excalibur creates a radioactive material when in e hands of certain people.

The Chases have finally settled in their new home. They went to England to meet the parents of Eddie Chase. Michael is a very stubborn American member of the IEA. He is always so robotic and hiding confidential infromation from getting released. Seeming very stiff, he is very nice and actually has a personality.
