I need to pick a Long Book for this year. Thinking about this one

I didn’t mean to pick this one. I think it picked me. I have Russian plans during the summer. Michael Katz’s new translation of The Idiot comes out this summer. I loved his translation of Brothers K. But everyone is talking about East of Eden, so I feel tempted that direction as well. Last year it was Middlemarch. I’m behind. Also Dante.

Oooo East of Eden comes into my sphere a lot. I cast my vote for that one :) but you really enjoy Brothers K, so that is significant.
