Okay I have a lot of thoughts but Liya keeps talking about how men only want to sleep with her but in all her chapters she is sexualizing Jay while dismissing his attempts to actually get to know her with questions as “boring” ????

Was excited to read my first desi romcom, but this book let me down terribly. Despite calling herself a feminist multiple times, the way Liya demeans herself on multiple occasions was so hard to read. I can understand that she is traumatized from past experiences or societal beliefs about her, but it was really gross to me
