Lots of characters from past novels showing up with quick run-downs of the plot of the novel they appeared in. Konráð's recent past is very quickly coming back to haunt him!
Interestingly, his sister Beta appears in this one as an adult. We've only heard about her as a child in the series thus far.

#5 FOMO! With the seasonal rush, I missed seeing that #3 The Quiet Mother was just published in English in December 2025, that's how far behind the English translations are😅.
