finished the last line of the book book with a huge smile, and I think that's says it all

I'm still liking this, and it feels good to enjoy my time reading, but one thing that's bothering me that I haven't paid much attention before (this is a reread)

I feel like there isn't enough grief and worry for her family. it's still mentioned here and there, but not nearly to the level that would be expected if an 12 year old whose been ripped away from her family and home.
