"Our greatest temptation was to forget where we'd come from. Amos warned.., when we are at ease in Zion, we face 2 dangers. 1st is to accommodate ourselves to an "acceptable" amount of injustice, conceding that things will, after all , never be perfect in this broken world. 2nd temptation is to not stand up against those forces that inevitably rise up to say, "We must go back Egypt, where we lived as slaves."
