I’m learning a lot about the dust bowl, which is really great, but I’m beginning to understand the ‘emotional manipulation’ criticism some have of Kristin Hannah’s books. I didn’t feel that way in the women, the great alone, or the nightingale but 40% into this one and I’m exhausted.
