This guy's in love with his grandfather's ex

Now that I am thinking about it, the first book didn't have as much of an epic ending as the movie did. The ending—which led to this book's beginning—is hella sad. I'd be depressed if I was in their shoes. Jacob and these 80+ years old kids are incredible.
