Well half way done atleast. I think this is just too YA for my liking and too much focus on this love triangle thing that I really don’t care about in the slightest. Some of the magic stuff is getting interesting but not enough for me to care about what’s going be to happen next. I could see some people enjoying this but it’s just not my taste.

So there’s potential but there’s really just something about this authors writing that irks the shit out of me. It’s like she’s way too descriptive to try and make everything sound grand and it serves absolutely no purpose. And it’s much more tell rather than show type of writing which I think is also what’s bothering me. Plus really the only thing I’m finding intriguing is Dorian‘s powers.

Well, I’m definitely going to be canceling my pre-order. I’m only like three chapters in, and I want to gouge out my own eyes. I really don’t like this author’s writing style. There is WAY too much description that is not even slightly necessary and nothing has intrigued me enough to want to continue reading. The only reason I have not DNF’d this already is because it’s an ARC through Net Galley.
