I seem to have begun only reading this book on trains, or, now, in train stations…

A peculiar yet deeply special habit, that I hope/must break if I am to finish this in a timely manner. How did I only get through five pages when it felt like fifty flew right by? Of course, the answer was inspiration.

I either need to break this tradition or take more trains. I vote in preference for the former.

Also this makes me really want to read Inger Christensen’s book, “Alphabet.”

If knowing I’m in the preserve of poetry when I want to write it, I suppose this book, then, is poetry too? Because while on my two hour train ride, instead of reading this like I planned, I spent most of it writing a poem “The Rushing of the Trees” inspired by my circumstances and by reading this book.
