I was not prepared for how much this book would impact me, it is raw, challenging, and incredibly moving. The author experiences grief and tragic loss all while tying it into her experiences of being unprotected by a mother’s eye, being hurt by men and the patriarchy, and trying to change her own narrative. I’m not done but can confidently say it’s a 5 star read.
