Interesting premise, in a world where a smog damages all food, our protagonist takes up an open position for a chef in a country lying at the France-Italy border, unnamed, only referred to as the Land of Milk and Honey (so far). While the rest of the world is deprived, the protagonist chooses to satiate her own desperation for flavor.
Desperation for hunger is simple, it's primal.
I'm intrigued by the direction.
