As it’s written by someone who was right there on the battlefront with the band adds a degree of credibility to the story. Being a fan of the band’s music but knowing little of their backstory, it’s certainly eye-opening at times (the debauchery and youthful exuberance in particular). A third of the way through so far but it’s a great read.
