Why are we saying 21st century phrases in a story that takes place in the 16th century? That completely turned me off of the book, and mind you, I wasn't even that into it to begin with... I read the synopsis of the book, and it didn't intrigue me, but it was given to me as a gift, so I have to read it! This is not a good book so far. Thankfully, I didn't have high hopes!
