Ok. This book is infuriating. I've been fine being uncomfortable with it. And the author is a great writer. But I hate haaaaate hate the trope where someone tries to explain something and the other person cuts them off and then they just stop talking instead of explaining. And this thing in chapter 22/23 where the protagonist doesn't say the important thing isn't believable. And I want to shake everyone.
