Just read a split perspective chapter of two people in different places learning the same same thing with two different masters. The masters knew each other and once studied together. Fantastic work with defining characters using the differences of teaching and learning between the 4 of them.

This is a long listen, and the author is NOT in a hurry to escalate the plot. It’s just a few different pov characters figuring out how to live in this new world day by day. Very good slice of life. 80% cozy, 20% action. There was a game of chess that made me emotional,… so there’s that. Can’t stop listening.
