Eh, it's a passable Goblin Market inspired fairy tale/retelling/whatever. (Wasn't "sister of the winter woods" one too?) Probably would hit harder with a reader whose only experience with romance was twilight. So many books do the romance between eldritch god and young girl much better, like Shadow and Bone, Uprooted, and The Bear and the Nightingale. Tolerable understanding of music on the part of the author.
