Ok, I have a bone to pick. I have enjoyed reading a book about the experiences of a midwife in a poor section of London in the 1950’s. What I HAVE NOT enjoyed is reading 5 chapters about a teenager who had horrific experiences as a prostitute. You will never convince me that this girl THAT much description when telling her story. That was obscene and the worst thing I have ever read. Skip the Cable Street chapter.
