Ok, so it’s Miller and the are going to the returners school with a plan (I hope) to see if Lacy remembers them. We learn how Lacy was taken and how Miller esp feels guilty for not seeing the signs and saying something sooner. Apparently James showed up right on time with a “worried” look….

Chapter 2 and a romance about Sloane and James is being told about. We find out Sloane’s brother (Brady) committed suicide and James was his best friend. Sloane is now 17, dating Brady for 2 ish years. Lacy (girl taken into the program now “released”) is Wilson (can’t remember name) love interest and wants to find out if she still knows him or is even herself.
