Hmmm, I'm getting frustrated- everything is very repetitive so far, It's like every chapter should have been a half-page extended aphorism??

Yeah. I have a similar feeling. I think chapter three is good though. Skip ahead.
In ch 3 now- definitely more info and therefore less repetitive which is good.
