Can somebody please tell me if this is worth the slog because right now it just feels like her agent convinced her that the cut bits from the first book were recyclable but uh…… it definitely tastes recycled?

Listen I really liked the first one! I’m a sucker for magic realism and depressed women writers meddling in things they don’t understand. But this one is just like. Chewing up the first one and spitting it back out as a paste and then serving it on a plate. Even I will not be staying at this dinner party :P
