I liked the story but the pacing did not need to be so slow.

I just have to say, I’m super happy that there is a Bulgarian fantasy book in English. The folklore is Bulgarian, as in the author (not just Slavic, Bulgarian) and the two parts of the city are an amazing metaphor about Iron Curtain done super well, representing the divide and nostalgia in a very accurate way. I just wanted to say this because I know non-native readers can miss that
