I knew the shadow of the self wasn’t necessarily evil but rather a deposit of one’s dislikes about themselves and their darker instincts. It would seem that seeking a connection with my subconscious self all those years ago was the right call to mentally heal myself to where I am now. Though admittedly, this was only part of many keys I used to mentally heal from so much trauma. That, and there is much more work to be done.
