Just finished part one. I have many a thought that I will expand on later, but for now I'll just say this book is definitely challenging. The prose is thick and demands every scrap of your attention. However, if you commit and begin to understand the style, you're left with a razor-sharp and deeply rich story, or rather stories, that are equal parts soaring, violent and completely engaging.
