The devil stuff really doesn’t scare. What really hooked me into reading this was the initial story of the cop at the bar (chills!) and Paul’s odd reminiscing on Danny, that plants both of them in my mind as really odd & intriguing. Altho the twin bond thing is getting old real fast.

Kinda boring & slow for now. The most compelling stuff was Paul’s memories of Danny because of how personal & detailed it was. Idk if I find satanic themed horror particularly scary. None of it is hitting yet. And the twin stuff is just boring and so plain as a horror element. I’m hoping it will pick up once Paul gets to Dread’s Hand like they said in the blurb.
